How to split a PDF
- Drop the PDF inDrop one PDF onto the box above. The tool renders a thumbnail of every page so you can see what you are cutting.
- Choose where to cutOne file per page, at page ranges you name, or into parts under a size you set. Check the ranges listed beside the grid — each one becomes an output file.

Questions
Can I split a 500-page PDF?
Yes. Page thumbnails are rendered in batches so the tab stays responsive, and the split itself copies pages rather than re-encoding them.
Are the split files smaller than the original?
Usually, but not proportionally. Fonts and images shared between pages are copied into every file that needs them, so ten one-page files total more than the original.
How do I get one file per page?
Choose the every-page option. A 40-page document becomes 40 PDFs, named after the source file with the page number appended.
Do the parts come as one archive?
No. Each part is listed separately with its own download button, so you can take only the parts you want. They are already in this tab; taking one costs no network.
