How to merge PDF files
- Drop your PDFs inDrop your PDFs onto the box above, or select Choose files. Up to 50 files at a time.
- Drag them into orderDrag a row, or use the up and down buttons on it, to set the order. The order of the list is the order of the finished document.
- Merge and downloadSelect Merge. Your browser reads each file, writes one new PDF from them and hands it straight to you. Closing the tab erases everything the tool was holding.
Questions
How many PDFs can I merge at once?
Fifty files per run, and 100 MB per file on a computer or 50 MB on a phone. The ceiling is the memory your browser tab is given, not a paid tier.
What survives the merge, and what does not?
Page content, page size and page rotation are carried across exactly. Bookmarks, form fields, annotations and file attachments from the source documents are not.
Can I merge a password-protected PDF?
Yes, if you know the password. The tool asks for it, unlocks the file in this tab for the length of the operation, and holds the password in memory only.
Where is my file uploaded to?
Nowhere. The work runs in a Web Worker inside this tab. Open your browser’s Network panel while you use the tool — no request carries your file.
